Waitrose tasked Recycling Bins to source and supply a custom outdoor recycling bin unit as per their deign specification. The bin was to be rolled out across a selection of stores as part of their commitment to responsible sustainably.
Challenge
There were a number of challenges involved with this project, in terms of timescale, bespoke design and carefully selected partnership policies Waitrose has in place, inline with their own sustainable strategies.
Requirements
The requirements outlined by the client were as follows: to guarantee that the
factories and production methods for the products where ethically responsible, the product was Class 0 fire rating, and allowed for integrated custom recycling artwork and design, with a brush steel finish.
Distractions aside, there was no real rhyme or reason to my workflow. The not-so-fun (but necessary) stuff kept getting neglected.
Results
Recycling Bins were able to meet the client requirements delivering a bespoke
recycling bin that improved and enhanced the shopping experience for customers, whilst improving the environment through recycling and reducing waste. The project required a collaborative partnership with Waitrose’s chosen business management organisation, Aspirin Business Solutions. Recycling Bins, delivered a quality product that was functional, practical, aesthetically accurate, custom designed and fit for purpose. This was all achieved on budget and on time.
